Back now in Campbell River I can finally relax and let myself get some much needed rest. Feeling a little sorry for myself I am looking forward to when I can jump back on the bike and hit the trails again.
Esther got out on the bike today which made me a bit jealous, but I did spend the time making a nice centre piece for Jim's pink coral that was dragged up in a fishing net from the bottom of the sea. Using some of the drift wood which is plentiful here along the waters edge I got busy without too much strain. After all, I am suppose to be resting.

My latest visit to the doctor was positive. He said that I just need to keep resting and let the healing continue. I do have some blood pooling in and around my lung, but it was to be expected and should breakup soon.. If not I will have to get it drained. Fingers crossed that won't happen.
Other than that it's life as usual, or as usual as it can be when you have no job, resulting in no income, which leaves the bank balance in dire straights. Lucky for me it looks like my Southern Cross travel insurance will come to the party and pay my bills. If this works out it will be the best pre-travel purchase ever made.. It's certainly hard to know when or if you will ever need insurance, but given the that it can for the most part be invaluable, I will never leave home without it, as I have in the past on many occasion..

I hope you enjoy the little collage of our trip back from Whistler. It also includes some city shots of Vancouver and the urban jungle that it is.. Saying that it's a really nice city, very green and a must see. Other shots are of the beautiful snow capped mountains, and some vehicles. The one of the car and caravan with has Bart Simpson in the rear window. Just as I was taking the shot a young kid with his mum were walking past. the mum asked her son who the character was, and to our horror the kid replied 'I think he is from Family Guy', but his mum disagreed and said it was Sponge Bob, but settled on Dilbert.. Are you kidding me! they didn't know who Bart Simpson was...Amazing. oh and the van is a custom Ford 4x4, just what I want for biking.. Sweet.
Hey Jarly, lovely piece of art work there. Glad you are on the mend. Hard for someone like you to rest and take it easy huh! You need to follow Baz and use any excuse. Ha ha. He's been busy lately though and its me who has been sick and resting. Love the collage and yeah - amazing they dont know who Bart is when we do over here. So yeah, take care and hugs to you both!
