Time to test out the new wheels.. After getting a bike rack and full tank of fuel we hit the road.
Not far form here are the Cumberland trails.. Apparently there was a Cougar seen the other day here, and I don't mean the type that hang out in bars looking for young blood.. Although both have teeth, or so I hear!
Lots of log rides and ladders that go for ever.. Sweet trails that take some time to get to, especially if like us you take the long way around.

Despite the dry conditions it was good to once again discover the hidden treasures of Vancouver Island. Forbidden Plateau is another great spot, but we have yet to venture that far. On a hot day the forest provides shelter from the sweltering heat, but you still work up a good sweat ripping up the trails.

Should you need a trail map drop in and see the guys at Dodge City Cycles on the main street in Cumberland.. Sweet as!
Go Esther! How cool is that. Have the very same pose of you two with Wellington Harbour in the background...and Cape Kidnappers...and Rotorua...
ReplyDeleteSo am I, by definition, a cougar then?
